BHS Baptist Healthcare System is Hiring a Registered Nurse PACU Part time Near Paducah, KY

Job Description: Designs, delegates, coordinates and administers nursing care of the PACU patient, providing leadership by working cooperatively with all patient team personnel to provide optimal patient care in the clinical setting. JOB DUTIES - Assesses and identifies patient needs, implements appropriate interventions, delegates nursing care activities and provides supervision; establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care; interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems; performs technical aspects of care competently. Functions as PACU Charge nurse as needed .Trained yearly on age specific care and completes core competencies for the patient population according to the Scope of Service. Has access to medication storage areas pertinent to required job tasks. Follows Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures. Professional Practice is based on the theoretical framework of nursing at Baptist Health Paducah including principles of Relationship-Based Care, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Standards of Professional Practice, the Kentucky Nurse Practice Act, and ASPAN Standards of Care Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITY - Current licensure by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing is required. One year nursing experience particularly critical care is preferred. Supervised by the Department Director and/or Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse on shift worked.
