The Senior Staff Accountant is a key member of our Finance Team and will perform a variety tasks in support of our business. Reporting to the Finance Manager the Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining general accounting system and monthly closing of books
• Prepare difficult journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and provide records of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions.
• Uses professional concepts and company internal policies and procedures to solve a variety of problems.
• Specific Duties include, but will not be limited to:
• Perform G/L account reconciliations
• Perform various government surveys and compliance studies
• Perform Intercompany invoicing, providing supporting documentation per Hutchinson rules
• Report the daily cash position. Review, vouch, and pay invoices from affiliate companies, through netting and wire.
• Reconcile, verify, and book Loan & Deposit JE’s. Reconcile and prepare quarterly intercompany balances for A/R, A/P, Product Sales, Services, and Purchases on a corporate level for HAI for CAP quarterly reporting (corporate reporting). Reconcile with other Hutchinson site on a monthly basis.
• Prepare Quarterly Intercompany reports, OR1 (B/S) & OR2 (I/S) and reconcile with all affiliate companies for CAP reporting
• Prepare and record journal entries as needed per schedule. Monthly phosphate JE and Payroll funding JE. 
• Setup monthly accruals and evaluate status of accrual accounts and prepaid accounts on a monthly basis. Monitor accruals vs. actuals and provide monthly status
• Prepare various weekly and monthly performance analyses and Sales Tax filings.
• Back up Accounts Payable and Cost Accounting. Process Purchasing and A/P systems closing cycles on Oracle
• Maintain all aspects of fixed asset systems, depreciation, reporting (CAPEX & SUIVI), and physical inventories
• Prepare monthly reporting files (RC Construct file, GL file prep for Project ONE)
• Prepare and distribute monthly O.T. report
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 5 years of reporting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Public Accounting experience is a plus
• Proficient in excel, required
• Detailed experience with an ERP system, is required; Infor XA preferred
• Must be deadline driven and self-motivated
• Must possess the ability to interact with all levels of an organization
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and coach
• Must be accurate
• Must have both attention to detail and the ability to think broadly
• Must be flexible and possess a good attitude
