Better Life Partners is hiring an experienced human resources / people operations professional to help support our growing team. Our People Operations Coordinator will be a "go to" and key People Team contact and is responsible for coordinating human resources/people operations activities and supporting day to day operations in all aspects of the business. This is an exciting part-time position with a rapidly growing company that will be loaded with challenges, excitement, and opportunity. This position is fully remote, however, for this position, we require that this person be located in the Eastern time zone to better support our existing team members.


  • Create an exceptional onboarding and orientation experience by clearly communicating steps and status updates in the onboarding process, for both managers and new hires
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure that all new team members feel welcomed, prepared, and inspired for their new career
  • Communicate proactively and work with managers to resolve employee concerns and issues
  • Respond to team member inquiries regarding timekeeping, payroll, and benefits, including health and dental, 401k, PTO, FMLA, and general questions
  • Address general Team Member relations issues, as required, performing inquiries/investigations and facilitating timely resolution of the issues.
  • Maintain HRIS data, including processing of new hires, terminations and any other employee data changes
  • Assist with the administration of benefits including new employee enrollment, annual open enrollment and reconciliation of invoices
  • Administer LOA programs, and processes applicable paperwork as needed
  • Provide guidance and coaching to department managers and employees on the interpretation of HR policies and other Human Resources programs
  • Act as an ambassador for Better Life Partners’ culture, vision, mission, and core values
  • Facilitate the offboarding process including conducting exit interviews, communicating transition of benefits, and coordinating with IT to remove system access and collect company equipment
  • Maintain electronic employee files to ensure legal compliance
  • Assists with regulatory and licensing compliance including employee file audits
  • Prepare employee census information for internal and external reports
  • Respond to employment verification requests
  • Support the People Operations department in policy development and management 
  • Plan and coordinate company-wide events
  • Assist with special projects in Talent Acquisition, L&D, Performance Management, benefits, and compensation as needed
  • Continuously evaluate processes for opportunities to create efficiencies 
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Associates degree in business administration, human resources, psychology, or similar field, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 4 years of experience in an HR/People Operations role, preferably at the Coordinator or Generalist level
  • PHR or SHRM-CP Certification preferred
  • High-growth startup experience and/or experience in the Healthcare industry highly preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in the administration and support of HRIS, HR benefits, technology, compliance, and leaves of absence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management teams, colleagues, and employees.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills including presentation abilities
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in an English-speaking environment
  • Strong team contributor, proactively sharing ideas
  • Ability to work as an effective team member; function independently, exercise sound judgment and initiative; be flexible to shift priorities and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results
  • Ability to quickly adapt to change and flexibility to adjust to business needs
  • Strong business acumen to translate the needs of the organization into HR solutions
  • Current knowledge of State and Federal legal regulations and practices for HR
  • Proficient with G-Suite or Office 365 and use of remote work tools
