About the role:

Reporting to the Software Development Manager, the Senior Developer is responsible for delivering outstanding results that support our products, customers, and teams. You will also be responsible for participating in the entire software development life cycle, debugging applications and configuring existing systems.

What you will be doing:

• Deliver clear and effective code-based solutions, identify areas for improvement
• Establish and maintain quality guidelines for delivery and improvement
• Monitor technical platforms and internal systems, reporting and escalating risks as necessary
• Document solutions and processes to facilitate learning and improvement
• Use Infrastructure as code to deliver products more efficiently and effectively
• Creating and implementing design plans
• Keeping up to date with industry trends and technology developments

What you will bring to the role:

• Proven experience in Software Development role within an Agile environment
• Working knowledge of the racing/wagering industry, or a keen interest, is essential
• Experience with Go would be an advantage
• Have a good working knowledge of cloud-based solutions (GCP/AWS)
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to make quick and effective decisions
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously
• Proactive in learning and understanding new technologies and solutions
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to introduce and adhere to engineering and product development best practices
