About the role:

Reporting to the Cyber Security Manager, the role of Cyber Security Analyst is to monitor and secure the business’ technology, data, assets and endpoints, ensuring protection of sensitive and critical information. You will play a key role in monitoring our systems, supporting security and uplifting our capability in this area. You will also ensure compliance and regulation, as well as educating the wider business in this space.

What you will be doing:

  • Plan and carry out security measures to monitor and protect sensitive data and systems from unauthorised access and cyber-attacks
  • Monitor and administer the business’ IT security systems
  • Identification of security requirements for new applications and other internal software products
  • Contribute to the development, deployment and maintenance of security tools
  • Support the response and investigation of security incidents, remediation tasks and the generation of Major Incident Reports
  • Working with new projects and products to guide security, compliance & privacy requirements
  • Identifying and implementing new security solutions to better protect the organisation
  • Identifying security weaknesses and recommend appropriate strategies
  • Raising security awareness at all levels of the organisation
  • Identifying current and emerging technology issues including security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats

What you will bring to the role:

  • Previous experience working in a Technology organisation assisting with security initiatives
  • Capacity for systematic analysis and problem solving
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of security policies and practices
  • Good understanding of basic networking principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
