Job Duties:
Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and submitting data to Corporate Office
Maintains time clock, ensuring the time is correct and the clock is working properly; has clock serviced, when necessary
Responsible for Accounts Receivable invoices and postings
Ensures employees are paid accurately by reviewing time sheets with managers and making corrections when required Transmits accurate payroll to the central payroll office, according to an established schedule
Verifies that final checks are received on time and all checks are accurate before distributing to the employees
Communicates with all levels of hotel and hotel vendor
Keeps managers abreast of relevant changes in the payroll system and time sheets, and provide ongoing training on analyzing payroll reports
Assists employees with payroll questions, address changes, deduction changes, etc.
Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/Experience - Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college in accounting or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of two years experience in payroll processing
Mathematical Skills - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Working knowledge of payroll software needed.
Other - Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays if needed.
