Description

1. Actively interacts with pets to fulfill their requested activities.
2. Completes assigned playtimes, cuddle times, fitness sessions, bedtime stories, walks, as
specified in Policies and Procedures.
3. Provides special treats and special water as needed.
4. Sets up playtime areas by assuring room or area is clean and sanitized, making appropriate,
clean toys available for pets, preparing mop and bucket with cleaning solution.
5. Cleans play areas thoroughly at the end of shift.
6. Prints activities reports from computer system.
7. Reads compartment cards and follows any special instructions.
8. Reports activity during interactive sessions on compartment card.
9. Sets up special bedding as needed.
10. Completes Pet Guest Reports.
11. Follows safe handling procedures at all times.
12. Supports the Mission and Philosophy of Best Friends Pet Care, Inc.
13. Treats customers, guests and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner; greets all
customers encountered while performing work duties.
14. Assists other Associates as needed.
15. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: No special requirement
EXPERIENCE: Experience handling various breeds and sizes of dogs and cats.
PHYSICAL:
Must be able to work evenings weekends and holidays.
Must be able to frequently lift 40 pounds.
Must be able to be on feet eight hours per day.
Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
Must be able to work on computer system.
Must be able to handle dogs on leashes.
Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals,
animal dander and excretions.
PERSONAL:
Must possess a love of animals.
Displays a professional manner at all times.
