Tesla Motors is Hiring a Production Control Supervisor, Cell Recycling Near Sparks, NV
The Role As a Cell Recycling Production Control (PC) Supervisor, you will be playing a critical role in the success of Cell Recycling at Tesla. You will work primarily on the warehouse floor and will be asked to work cross-functionally, interfacing with engineering, planning, and production to ensure production goals are being met. Responsibilities
Build and lead a proficient PC team to manage raw material and finished goods inventory effectively
Ensure timely replenishment of raw materials to meet production targets
Oversee compliant storage of Cell Recycling materials in a dedicated warehouse, including condition measurement
Manage production spare parts inventory and purchasing replenishment items
Empower the team to enhance consumption processes and ensure successful replenishment programs
Resolve issues, conduct root cause investigations, and track corrective actions for accuracy, latency, and PIT management
Ensure adherence to PC processes outlined in Standardized Work Instructions, providing necessary training and support for team success while also maintaining Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards, documenting incidents, correcting hazards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, manage a team of up to 15 employees working across two sites with a minor portion of operations conducted outdoors, ensuring operational excellence throughout
Requirements
3 years of experience managing Materials teams in regulated manufacturing environments
Demonstrated impact on improving Material Flow processes
Experience in selecting and developing new team members
Proficiency in developing and utilizing Material Flow performance metrics
Strong ability to handle pressure, tight deadlines, and competing demands
Proven capability to foster relationships with key PC stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail
