Responsibilities

The Regulatory Compliance Department provides core services to the Company and supports the Company’s goals by providing prudent compliance processes to manage threats to the business. The Department also serves as the E&S Service Center to W.R. Berkley Corporation by providing certain core services to other business units. The Regulatory Compliance Coordinator facilitates delivery of the Department’s core services. The Coordinator must be well-organized and have strong attention to detail. 

  • Assist Analysts in securing agent & adjuster license/appointments/terminations.
  • Assist Analysts in processing rate rule and form filings with state regulators.
  • Accurately track consumer complaints received through state regulators and facilitate timely and appropriate responses to those complaints.
  • Accurately log and facilitate distribution of legal papers to several business units for E&S Reporting Center.
  • Maintain Service of Suit log for all legal entities.
  • Process, maintain and distribute claims adjuster licensing log and continuing education.
  • Maintain Department staff calendar as well as the department data call calendar.
  • Triage various queries regarding the various legal entities from state insurance department and other sources.
  • Process various data call requests as assigned and coordinates with WRBC E & S Reporting Center.
  • Maintains Regulatory Compliance files and manuals.
  • Document imaging and filing.
  • Receive and address telephone calls to the E&S Reporting Center.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Must have at least one year of experience in related business.
  • Insurance course work preferred.
  • Legal assistant training desirable.
  • Must be able to proficiently use Microsoft suite of products: Word; Excel; Outlook; calendar in Outlook.
