Berkeley Animal Hospital is a newly constructed and privately owned clinic in Berkeley. We are seeking both Full Time and Part Time Registered Veterinary Technicians to join our team as we grow.

About You:

- Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with patients, clients, and coworkers.
- Maintain proper documentation and medical records as required by law.
- Comfortable using multiple digital platforms (i.e: Windows, Gmail, and Google Drive). Our software is Neo, a cloud platform, and we will train you if you have not used this program before.
- Motivated to learn- we are hoping to find an RVT that would like to learn how to obtain ultrasound images; we will provide training.
Clinical Expectations include:
- Provide compassionate care to every patient.
- Proficient in venipuncture and catheter placement
- Perform routine diagnostic procedures (i.e: various lab work including the use of a microscope, and radiology).
- Accurately calculate, draw, and prepare medications upon DVM request.
- Monitor, and maintain animals under anesthesia.
- Assist with all technical aspects of dental and surgery (i.e: patient preparation and recovery, procedure preparation, and sterilization).
- Initiation of emergency medical practices as necessary.
- Understand vaccine protocols.
- Assist mobile veterinary specialists in cardiology, endoscopy, and surgery.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Registered Veterinary Technician License certification from an accredited program
- Previous Veterinary experience
- Willing to train the right individual that is eager to learn.
