Job Description

Teamwork is essential to the success of an insurance agency. The Account Executive will interact with clients, producers, the insurance underwriters, and assistant underwriters. The Account Executive will perform the essential duties of this position, which include assisting the producer(s) in new and renewal marketing of commercial insurance accounts. Provides backup assistance to other Account Executives when needed. Works at the direction of Producer(s) and Office Manager. Hybrid remote position.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Producer requests in a timely and effective manner
• Maintain Applied Epic and shared drive computer files according to procedures
• Work with the Producer and client to obtain new and renewal information
• Work with the Producer to decide where to market new business and renewals
• Create Acord applications in Applied Epic to market to insurance companies
• Create Supplemental Applications in Indio to complete and store as needed
• Market applications to select insurance companies
• Communicate effectively with underwriters to market and service clients and prospects
• Negotiate with underwriters to create the best combination of coverage and premium
• Review quotes received for coverage completeness and accuracy
• Create proposals for Producer to present to clients and prospects
• Bind coverage with the appropriate insurance companies
• Create Premium Finance Contracts for insured’s signature
• Issue renewal and new business vehicle ID cards
• Reviews and checks in new and renewal policies and prepares for electronic delivery as directed by Producer
• Creates Master Certificate of Insurance and Evidence of Insurance for Certificate Processor
• Invoice agency bill new and renewal policies
• Participate in insurance company meetings
• Performs additional assigned duties as necessary

Requirements

Possesses a supportive and responsive manner with internal and external customers.

Possesses High School diploma or equivalent.

• Has 3 years or more commercial insurance experience.
• Holds a current property/casualty agent’s license.
• Has ability to perform multiple tasks in complex working environment accurately and efficiently.
• Possesses above average computer knowledge and skills.
• Has knowledge and experience necessary for independent decision-making ability.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Pro
