Job Description:

Bennett Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Technical Writer located in Arlington, VA. The Technical Writer will gather and create procurement-related documentation. The individual performing in this position must be able to take direction well and work independently. This individual may attend work-related conferences, meetings, or any other official training or function.

Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Writing and drafting procurement-related documents, and SOPs, job aids, and technical manuals.
• Translating technical information into requirements documentation
• Facilitating the technical requirements development process.
• Creating/Editing/proofing requirements documents for grammatical, formatting errors, and content inconsistencies.
• Organizing the files for the technical requirements process.
• Gathering information from various sources, providing data analysis, and recommending process improvements.
• Providing additional general support i.e., tracking the technical requirements process, providing weekly and monthly status reports, etc.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with three to five years of specialized experience that is related to the job duties above.
• Working knowledge of SharePoint

Skills and Abilities:

• Effective technical writing and oral communications skills.
• Must be proficient in MS Office software, especially MS Word and MS Excel.
• Superior time management, organization, and prioritizing skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationship with internal employees as well as outside sources.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.
• Exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to change.
• Must be proficient in the skill of technical writing.
• Must possess analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to develop organizational strategies to formulate a plan to implementation.
• Excellent interpersonal relations skills.

Security Requirements:

Clearance Level Required: Public Trust or the ability to obtain

• Applicants selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements. 
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance. 
• Successful Pass of Bennett Aerospace Background Investigation, Drug Screening and Credit Check.
