BENNETT AEROSPACE is Hiring an On-Site Supervisor Near Arlington, VA

Overview

Job Description:

Bennett Aerospace, Inc. has an opening for a highly motivated On-Site Supervisor (OSS) to provide supervisory and management support to a Federal Law Enforcement client located in Arlington, VA. This position will support all professional and technical services department to the law enforcement units. In addition, the successful candidate will report directly and responsively to the Bennett Aerospace Program Manager on all immediate project work. The On-Site Supervisor shall supervise employees to ensure effective and timely processing of work assignments. The OSS shall review the work completed by personnel and ensure that procedures, operations, and directions issued by the Program Manager have been complied with and satisfactorily implemented. The OSS shall be under the direct supervision of the Program Manager.

Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages all aspects of services provided for their assigned Office(s) and serves as the primary point of contact for the customer at the Field Division level as well as the corporate office.
  • Manages a team that consists of administrative support, program analysts, subject matter experts, etc. The Team may be located at various offices within their area of responsibility.
  • Works with assigned Recruiter to provide recruiting goals per office; conducts interviews, selects candidates and assist with onboarding.
  • Ensures appropriate training of new and existing personnel; prepares and conducts employee evaluations; coaching and writing warnings; recommending salary actions; approving time records.
  • Schedules personnel and ensures adequate coverage to meet customer needs.
  • Travels to resident and local offices within their area of responsibility.
  • Implements the company's quality control and operating procedures at all locations covered under their assigned Field Division, which includes: monitoring the work output level produced by each team at each site; ensuring appropriate training for new and incumbent personnel; ensuring technical contract compliance; producing weekly reports; tracking task orders; and maintaining records of work productivity.
  • Tracks labor hours, ensures employees sign in to the appropriate task order, signs off on TS.
  • Implements the company's policies and procedures and ensure that changes in these policies are communicated to the team.
  • Has overall responsibility for delivering projects accurately and timely per customer requirements.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Requires a minimum of 2-4 years previous management or team leader experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and able to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Must possess extensive computer skills in an MS Office/Deltek environment, including Microsoft Word and Excel; must be able to type 45-50 words per minute.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written skills in the English language, including correct and accurate grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Requires solid knowledge and understanding of contracts management, profit margins, time management and organizational skills as well as be knowledgeable on human resources policies and employment laws.
  • Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with different departments within the company and the clients.
  • Must possess the ability to convey and teach processes and procedures to newly hired employees on how to properly monitor, transcribe and translate information acquired from wire intercepts.
  • Must be a self-starter who identifies resolves and reports issues in timely and effective manner.
  • Committed to providing outstanding customer service to the client.
  • Requires the ability to prioritize, have effective time management skills, meet stringent deadlines, balance multiple tasks and work in a team environment

Preferred Training and Experience:

  • Experience in assessing science and technology relevant to Diversion Control Division requirements, in addition to programmatic, financial, and contractual management experience
  • Experience providing complete program management support 
  • PMP-certified preferred

Abilities and Skills:

  • Exceptionally strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to work with diverse technical and administrative teams from academia, government, and industry
  • Able to initiate open discussion with internal and external customers to understand and troubleshoot problems
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Professional, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge in spreadsheet development, manipulation, and management
  • Must be quick learner with new databases, portals, and systems 

Travel Requirements:

  • Attend all meetings and trainings as required

Security Requirements:

Security Clearance Level: Secret

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements.
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.
  • Successful Pass of Bennett Aerospace Background Investigation, Drug Screening and Credit Check.
