Partnerships and discounts with major retailers such as AT&T, Verizon and Dish to name a few Many more, please inquire for more details The Banquet Manager will supervise the overall operation for the Food & Beverage services required for event catering, which include Banquet Food Service, Beverage Service and Conference Service Set-Up. What you will have an opportunity to do: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION Carry out the policies and procedures of the Bellwether Beach Resort and Benchmark Management Company. Ensure strict adherence to the liquor laws and liquor rules of the State of Florida, as well as the beverage service policies of The Bellwether Beach Resort. Maintain the highest degree of professionalism. Manage effective solution-oriented communication. Maintain budgeted goals in areas of labor cost, expense, food and beverage costs. Must have thorough knowledge of food and beverage service procedures and standards and be willing to teach those concepts. Direct and supervise all staff in opening duties, execution of functions, and completion of closing duties. Develop and direct initial and ongoing training of staff. Complete and distribute monthly forecasting and yearly budgets for the department. Ensure effective and continuous communication with meeting and or function contacts and guests. Prepare weekly employee schedule and monitor to ensure staffing is equal to business levels. Complete payroll and variance reports on a daily, weekly, and bi-weekly basis. Ensure proper distribution of all payroll-related items. Direct and assist with operational duties during functions. Ensure completion and distribution of necessary requisitions prior to a function day. Maintain accuracy of bank, daily bank counts and bank drops. Ensure completion and distribution of banquet critiques for all events. Ensure completion of necessary inventory checks, product returns and month end inventory reconciliations as requested. Ensure that billing procedures, deposits and financial reports are completed and distributed as needed. Ensure a clean, safe and orderly area, both front and back of the house, for guests and employees. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED One to three years previous banquet management in hotel type environment. Beverage experience a plus. Must have excellent organizational, administrative, communicative, guest relations, and leadership skills. What are we looking for? Previous leadership experience in Banquets is required Strong leadership skills Thorough, detail oriented, organized, and pro-active Independent thinker and doer Strong sense of style and taste Strong, intuitive ability to deliver exceptional customer service Team player 3 years of Banquet leadership experience. Working knowledge of local, state and federal liquor regulations. Certification in alcohol awareness program, i.e. TIPS Benchmark Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer.
