What you will have an opportunity to do: We are looking for a highly motivated, customer focused leader to join our Front Office team as Director of Front Office The successful candidate for this role will have a proven track record of developing a team to provide exceptional service, is open to learning and leading by example, responds in a professional and courteous manner to guests and team, as well as being there to support the team both personally and professionally. Your Role: You will oversee the Front Office operations to lead the team in helping guests discover their “Wanderlust” experience You will provide exceptional customer service by being engaging and taking sincere interest You will lead by example to ensure all guest interactions are handled in a professional manner You will develop and mentor a team comprised of Guest Service Agents, Night Auditors, Bell Staff, Drivers and Concierge You will develop team members' schedules to meet business flow and monitor staff and hours allocation appropriately You will ensure proper training materials and programs are in place for team members and measure contributions You will implement coaching, career planning, performance reviews and recognition initiatives for team members You will monitor room inventory, rate and plan availability and lead the team to maintain average daily rate to ensure revenue maximization forecasting occupancy. You will be involved in the Financial performance of the hotel with responsibilities to include maintaining labor costs to forecast/budget, manage spending accounts and review monthly Profit & Loss reports You will help to resolve problems and “WOW” guests through recovery when things aren’t quite right You will work closely with Maintenance, Housekeeping and F&B teams to communicate and coordinate the day You will interact with hotel/resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information What are we looking for? Minimum 3 years experience leading and managing a Front Office or Guest Services team in a service focused hotel or resort environment required Experience with working in a fast paced and customer front facing environment required Excellent listening and communication skills required Excellent customer and guest focused verbal and written communication skills required Excellent organization and prioritization skills required Experience with leading and motivating team members positively required Experience with promoting learning and continuous improvement among the team required Experience with bringing situations to resolution calmly and efficiently required Available to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays required Strong computer skills, and experience with PMS systems strongly desired College degree strongly desired More than 10,000 dedicated employees around the world bring their unique talents, expertise and experiences to work every day with Benchmark.
