BELTSERVICE CORPORATION is Hiring a Plant Supervisor Near Huntersville, NC

We have an opening for a motivated, experienced, and “hands-on” Plant Supervisor at our Huntersville, North Carolina branch. This person will report directly to the on-site Plant Manager and will be responsible for the Modular Belt/Plastics Production Operations & Support teams. Our wide varieties of modular belting and plastics components are used in direct food processing and packaging applications. The design of the belts reduces cleaning issues, enhances belt strength, and slashes unscheduled downtime for higher customer productivity. This is targeted as a highly important growth area for the future of Beltservice.

What we expect you to do (Responsibilities):

Warehouse Management--

  • Effectively communicate instructions and information to all employees and leadership.
  • Provide regular feedback to employees regarding performance and coach to expected results.
  • Lead employees in proactive safety habits that ensures compliance with all corporate safety protocol and government agency requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and address issues in a timely manner.
  • Hire, train, and develop employees to optimize their employee experience and contribution to the business.
  • Set expectations and hold employees accountable for quality, efficiency, and compliance with company policy/procedure.
  • Proactively ensure that the assets, equipment, and facility are maintained and operating properly by following and/or improving existing preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Ensure that all inventory processes are followed by support personnel. Maintain accurate inventory by conducting regular cycle counts and managing variances through the root cause analysis process.

Production Management-

  • Direct and drive the assembly, fulfillment, and shipping of all modular & plastics products in the most efficient and economical manner.
  • Use Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data to drive production operations and meet customer commitments as well as overall Beltservice Corporation goals.
  • Lead Lean Daily Management process to foster a continuous improvement mindset and approach. Work through roadblocks to improve overall operational output and quality as well as employee satisfaction.
  • Ensure all product meets specifications dictated by the production orders. Manage and investigate incorrect product and work with stakeholders to correct issues and develop best practices. Conduct regular quality audits to ensure adherence to established standards.
  • Effectively manage all internal projects, maintaining timelines, communications, and progress toward goal.

Sales Support –

  • Work with sales teams to support customer needs and secure orders with competitive lead times.
  • Communicate effectively with inside & outside sales to keep them up to date on production progress, details, or issues.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through responsiveness to special requirements. Operate with a high sense of urgency to turn orders without loss of quality.

What you bring to the table (Requirements):

  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing/fabrications, operations, or service-related industries.
  • 3 years in a leadership role
  • Demonstrated success in setting expectations, leading employees to meet or exceed them
  • Demonstrated mechanical inclination
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Proficiency in an ERP system such as D365, SAP, Oracle or other; AX, Scanworks, Fiix preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Pay: $68,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
