About the Job

BWAM is looking for a Financial Reporting Analyst to join our Portfolio Management Team. This is a unique opportunity for someone eager to play an integral role in producing highly leveraged and impactful analytical reports. The individual will interact with multiple stakeholders, while gaining exposure to a wide variety of asset classes, along with fundraising and marketing initiatives. Additionally, this role will play a critical role in helping conduct portfolio analysis, creating new client reporting and spearheading various production efforts across teams.

The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. We are seeking a multidimensional team player who enjoys working cross-functionally with different parts of the organization.

An ideal candidate will have held similar positions within the real estate investment or financial services industries. Successful candidates for this position will have two years or more of relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Compile investment-level financial information and assist in creating best-in-class investor relationship and marketing reports
• Build, maintain and assist automating analytical dashboards across multiple clients
• Analyze and calculate portfolio-level metrics that will be used to provide KPIs across various client strategies (i.e. Opportunistic, Income, and Debt)
• Actively engage and coordinate deliverables with Asset and Portfolio management teams
• Assist with Due Diligence Questionnaires for client fundraising efforts
• Create and develop marketing and investor reports for new clients

Qualifications

BWAM seeks to hire entrepreneurial individuals who are highly motivated, mature and intelligent, with demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The successful candidate should have:

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Experience in Tableau is a plus
• Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in financial services or at least same amount of time in an analytical role
• Ability to manage and organize large amounts of data and communications
• Strong interest within commercial real estate or investment industry. Prior experience, preferred
• Dynamic team player with strong integrity, a high degree of professionalism and the ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment including:
  • Good interpersonal, communication, organizational and project management skills
  • Excessive attention to detail, outstanding initiative, an eagerness to learn with a strong work ethic
  • Completion of a high level of work within tight timeframes, successfully manages competing deadlines
  • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and work with limited direct guidance
• Desire to work as a small, highly entrepreneurial team
• A bachelor’s degree is required

• Investment- and Fund-level Reforecasting: BWAM is responsible for creating proprietary investment-level valuation models for the portfolio to enhance our ability to reforecast investment-and fund-level performance on a routine basis.
