Description

To safely operate & maintain a Printing Press to efficiently & effectively manufacture folding cartons. Responsible for production performance and crew management.Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Production management to include:
• Machine setup, adjustments, make readies
• Troubleshooting of machine and/or quality issues
• Assist with maintenance, machine setups, etc.
• Completion of required product and process audits
• Exchange of information with shifts prior to/following work shift
• Adherence to quality specifications
• Identification of product/process enhancements to improve efficiencies, reduce downtime & spoilage

Production schedule output and timeframes

• Team management to include:
• Training of crew members to ensure job duties are performed efficiently and effectively
• Enforcing compliance with company policies (i.e., GMP/AIB/Safety)
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area
• Effectively leading work crew to meet production goals
• Attend team meetings
• Actively participate in and support sample production runs
• Other job duties as assigned.Working Conditions: Climate controlled facility

Qualifications

• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• In-depth understanding of printing concepts
• Must have good communication skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment & quality issues
• Ability to train new team members
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand/walk and work 12-hour shifts with a 36 to 48 hour work week when needed
• Ability to work weekends and holidays if necessary to meet customer demands
• Must be able to differentiate colors

Education and Experience

Must have prior printing experience as either Operator I or Operator II with related job duties and responsibilities

Post-secondary education in printing technologies, etc. preferredGeneral Math skills
