3-K and UPK/Pre-K Teacher must have a bachelor’s in early childhood education.
or NYS Certified B-2 or N-6 Grades a must.
We will consider a BA degree Early Childhood teacher in college presently on a study plan. Two (2) years of paid teaching experience in a licensed preschool classroom setting is required. The applicant should be caring, energetic and be able to engage children. Teacher must meet the physical demands of the job, including walking, lifting and sitting on the floor .
RESPONSIBILITIES:
UPK Teacher will plan and implement curriculum-based Common Core Learning Standards, Work Sampling , Building Blocks and the Creative Curriculum. Create and foster a developmentally appropriate learning environment; implement physical development activities and manage a classroom that provides a safe physical and emotional environment. UPK Teacher will promote the professional growth of the classroom team; Conduct appropriate screenings and monitoring of progress; Maintain classroom records; UPK teacher will participate in DOE trainings, all staff development activities; Conduct regular parent-teacher conferences, develop and reinforce relationships with parents: Perform other classroom and child care duties as needed. UPK Teacher will supervise classroom assistants.

• Foundations in Health and Safety e-Learning
• Preventing Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and Promoting Safe Sleeping
• Mandated Reporter Training:
• Infectious Diseases Prevention Training
• Civil Right Training
• Code Ana’s Epinephrine Training Program
• Infant and Child CPR/First Aide (will schedule a group training if you don’t have)
