Behavioral Family Solutions is a private agency experienced in delivering the highest quality therapeutic services to children and their families since 2016. At BFS we provide applied behavior analysis by highly trained and skilled staff, such as Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT).

In following a multidisciplinary approach, we also provide cognitive behavioral therapy with services provided by highly trained and skilled Licensed Clinicians.  We feel it is vital to our client’s progress to be able to address behavior and its environment as well as emotional components of the individual and family in order to obtain optimal progression of treatment. Services are provided in the community, at home, in schools and at our state-of-the-art center locations.

Summary / Objective

The human resource coordinator is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations. The human resource coordinator is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

 

Essential Functions

 

  1. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  2. Searches for candidates on indeed, and properly utilizes Job score to keep track of candidates.
  3. Conducts recruitment effort for all RBTs and students, including prescreening and interviewing.
  4. Conducts new-employee orientations; and all onboarding activities using ADP and Central Reach.
  5. Participates in career fairs, and job fairs at universities and assists in educating students on the Applied Behavior Analysis educational track and BFS’s scholarship and internship programs.
  6. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  7. Answers phones for the HR department and provides coverage company wide as needed.
  8. Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance.
  9. Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
  10. Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions.
  11. Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  12. Assists the manager with HR projects.
  13. Completes employment verifications for RBTs.
  14. Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files. Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks.
  15. Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9.
  16. Assists with the distribution and monitors employee performance evaluations and ensures they are done in a timely manner.
  17. Performs other duties and HR related administrative tasks as assigned by management.

Work Environment

 

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  1. High school diploma with two years of HR related experience, or bachelor’s degree in HR.
  2. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  4. Ability to adhere to HIPPA regulations.
  5. Ability to maintain information with the strictest confidentiality.
  6. Ability to think critically and problem solve.
  7. ADP and Central Reach system administration preferred.
