The Behavior Analyst Certification Board®, Inc. (BACB®) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation established in 1998 to provide professional credentialing services for practitioners of behavior analysis services. Position Summary:  This role is responsible for the coordination and execution of events related to exam development. The role requires autonomy and independent decision making informed by strong project management and problem solving skills. Ensures initiatives are implemented and department goals are reached. Successfully manage ongoing event related tasks through continuous planning and delivery.

Salary Range: $52,000 - $56,000 annually

Requirements

  • Develop and manage event details in collaboration with Certification Program Managers
  • Determine meeting space needs and configurations; lighting; AV; catering; security 
  • Manage and oversee vendor relationships
  • Manage contract details and commitments in collaboration with Director of Testing
  • Assist with establishing annual event calendar and budget; work to ensure all events remain at or under budget for the year
  • Manage communication and organization of program events and guests
  • Process reimbursement requests and enforce reimbursement policy for Subject Matter Experts (SME) and other guests
  • Collect feedback from program event attendees to gauge success/ ROI, and inform future event planning strategies and needs

Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work well with vendors
  • Ability to work independently
  • Time-management and organizational skills

Required Education and Experience:

  • 3 years’ experience in event planning preparation, execution, and vendor management. 
  • Preferred: Budget planning and contract review.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and video conferencing.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the ability to lift and carry a laptop, lift files, open filing cabinets, frequently type, bend and reach as necessary is essential to the position.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a regular full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening, holidays, and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Campus Wellness: The BACB is a tobacco free work environment. The consumption of tobacco products is not allowed on BACB property. Our campus has a 100% vaccine status for all staff and provide a vaccine bonus to new hires with proof of vaccine.

Travel: Minimal travel is expected for this position.
