Position Summary: The Certification Program Quality and Training Specialist collaborates with the Certification Program Manager for BACB examinations, ensuring that exam content is developed in compliance with the BACB’s style guidelines and industry standards. The Certification Program Quality and Training Specialist will also be responsible for training content, performance feedback reports, and ongoing resource development for external subject matter experts (SME) who contribute to the BACB’s exam development processes. The role requires advanced writing and editorial skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Competencies:
Experience and Education: Bachelor's degree in communications, English, journalism, or related field, or equivalent work experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the responsibilities of the position. A minimum of 3 years working full-time in a professional organization editing written content and providing feedback, constructive and positive, to the content authors. Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) a plus.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and video conferencing.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the ability to lift and carry a laptop, lift files, open filing cabinets, frequently type, bend and reach as necessary is essential to the position.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a regular full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening, holidays, and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Campus Wellness: The BACB is a tobacco free work environment. The consumption of tobacco products is not allowed on BACB property.
Travel: Minimal travel is expected for this position.
