IT Help Desk Specialist II

Ambridge, PA

Headquartered in Ambridge, PA, Beemac operates over 400 trucks, and has 34 terminals nationwide.

Summary

Responsible for first escalation of Tier 1 support requests. Provide support for all users to include but not limited to user setup, troubleshooting system issues, server and system configuration, user experience, application, and software installation/maintenance.

This is a full-time salaried position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demands. This position may require travel to other facilities, as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of client technology issues and see them through to resolution.
  • Ensure that all tickets are responded to within SLA targets.
  • Be primary escalation point for Tier 1 client support staff on both technical and procedural issues.
  • Coordination with Network Administration and IT Management on ongoing or long-term issues resolution.
  • Create accounts and configure hardware as part of on-boarding process.
  • Support and/or implement client facing environments based on the Microsoft Windows technology stack, including Active Directory, DNS, DFS, Exchange, MS SQL, MS365, etc.
  • Support client facing environments that may include Apple iOS/OSX devices or other non-Microsoft based systems.
  • Support for mobile devices, printers or scanners, and phones.
  • Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN) as well as all operating systems to include Microsoft products
  • Update desktop software/applications; maintain documentation on installed applications.
  • Maintain daily performance of all computer systems
  • Excellent communications skills (verbally and written)
  • The ability to communicate technical information, both verbally and written to a wide range of end-users.
  • Follow standard help desk protocols and procedures.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3 years of technical support experience, specifically supporting customers
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Windows Server, and Active Directory
  • Experience with Office 365, Onedrive and Exchange
  • PowerShell

Physical Demands

This position does (at times) require installation of network cabling and lifting equipment of medium to light weight. There is a requirement to walk, stretch, bend and move around frequently. At times travel is required to ensure each office location has support of this role.
