Beemac Logistics is Hiring a Vice President of Sales Near Houston, TX

Position Summary:

Mercury Transportation Solutions LLC. A global 3rd party logistics provider is looking for a natural Sales Leader with a proven ability to grow a book of business in the logistics/transportation industry, while influencing and motivating others to perform at a high level. This high-level candidate will act as a coach and advocate to help develop and train a sales team while creating an encouraging and positive environment. The Vice President of Sales will go above and beyond expectations to grow and mentor their team and will need to be self-motivated, energetic, creative, and knowledgeable within the logistics space.

THIS POSITION WILL BE FULLY REMOTE AFTER THE INITIAL TRAINING PERIOD. CANDIDATE MUST BE LOCAL TO HOUSTON, TX.

Day to Day Functions:

  • Conduct sales training for all new sales employees.
  • Conduct weekly & monthly sales meetings.
  • Create sales targets and track daily, weekly, and monthly pacing based on projections.
  • Conduct performance reviews for assigned team members.
  • Manage the CRM, track data being entered and run reports as needed.
  • Ensure goals and expectations are achieved such as: phone stats, new customers, revenue, margins, and other daily metrics.
  • Assist with customer quotes and execution of day-to-day operations including but not limited to building, booking, and dispatching of loads.
  • Assist with new hire process.
  • Communicate, train, and manage remote employees.
  • Individuals and teams are meeting/exceeding targeted goals.
  • Team’s margin dollars and percentages are maximized.
  • The efficient and effective conversion from trainee to Client Solutions Manager.
  • Continuous growth across multiple verticals.
  • Team accountability and profitability.

Qualifications:

  • You must be able to work full-time Monday through Friday
  • A College Degree is preferred.
  • Experience in building and growing a team
  • You must have relevant, advanced sales success in the Transportation Logistics industry.
  • Proven ability to energetically lead a sales team to maximize their earning potential
  • Demonstrated success motivating a sales team to surpass daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
  • Experience working with technology including Office products and specialized/relevant software platforms.
  • Driven by a high moral and ethical compass.
  • Knowledge of rail, barge and ocean operations are preferred but not a requirement
