Job Overview

Bee Sweet Citrus, Inc. is looking for a highly detail-oriented individual to assist in all areas of accounting, including budget preparation and performing reviews of accounts. This position will contribute to Bee Sweets growth by driving efficient and effective management of revenues, expenses, and accounting processes and will report to the Controller of the company. This position also requires the ideal candidate to be reliable, responsible, dependable and fulfill its obligations.

Duties/Responsibilities

Job duties include but are not limited to, the following:

Analyze and adjust general ledgers. Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts

Budget preparation

Report to management about asset utilization and audit results, and recommend changes in operations and financial activities.

Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency, effectiveness, and use of accepted accounting procedures to record transactions.

Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences.

Examine and evaluate financial and information systems, recommending controls to ensure system reliability and data integrity.

Create detailed analysis of expenses compared to revenues

Crosstrain with various accounting functions (A/P, Inventory, Payroll etc.)

Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.

Work to ensure accuracy and collaborate with Accounting Team to streamline processes

Prepare adjusting journal entries.

Able to think and work independently, while achieving team oriented goals

Skills / Knowledge

Proficient in spreadsheet softwares (Excel or Google Sheets)

Strong understanding of financial statements

Experience

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in public accounting or 3-4 years in the private sector is required

CPA is preferred

Audit experience is beneficial

Pay Offered/Benefits

$100,000 - $135,000 annual salary
