Job Summary Under the direction of the Team Leader of Events and Programming, the Events Manager will lead the development and execution of seasonal programming efforts at Bedrock properties, activations and public spaces in Cleveland and Detroit. They will contribute to the development of the strategies, communication, coordination, and organization of activations, surprise and delight initiatives, retail and team member events, and act as the liaison for Cleveland Bedrock retailers. In addition, they will contribute, support, and maintain the Experience Team processes. Responsibilities Lead the conceptualization, strategic planning, creative vision, and execution of unique experiences, events, and programming efforts to drive and influence traffic to Bedrock properties, activations and public spaces in Cleveland and Detroit Curate seasonal programming strategies for Bedrock properties, activations and public spaces in Cleveland and Detroit Maintain and track the team's seasonal programming budget, pipeline, and calendar Provide clear and transparent communication to key stakeholders regarding programming project roles and responsibilities, scope, budget, and schedules for different efforts Responsible for curating detailed day-of run-of-show documents and leading the on-site execution for events, activations, and programming efforts, from load-in through load-out Manage accounting and billing support by maintaining and tracking budgets, ensuring all contracting, invoicing, and payments are fulfilled in a timely manner Maintain industry knowledge and stay current on industry trends, providing the team with innovative ideas and creative event and programming solutions Develop new and cultivate existing relationships with local and national event and programming vendors and suppliers Responsible for project permitting (Special Event, Temporary Use, Right of Way, etc.) Organize project closeout and ensure all project documents, feedback, and metrics are recorded and saved Act as a commercial and residential tenant liaison in Cleveland to develop processes and resources that aid in the overall Bedrock tenant experience Support the Tenant Experience and Activations Team initiatives in Cleveland as needed Other duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Event Planning, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications or related field or equivalent experience Approximately 3 years of experience, at least 2 years in event planning Great attention to detail and high level of organization to establish priorities and achieve results while working under pressure on multiple high-impact projects at once Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills to communicate project details to stakeholders Ability to think creatively to introduce innovative ideas or concepts when planning activations Skilled problem-solver: able to foresee and alleviate risks that may arise during the project planning process Proficient in using and navigating PC platforms, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and is comfortable in learning and using new technology Flexibility with working hours and ability to travel to Detroit as needed Who We Are Detroit-based Bedrock is a full-service real estate firm specializing in acquiring, developing, leasing, financing and managing commercial and residential buildings.
