Job Responsibilities
·Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a PT according to state practice guidelines.
·Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehabaccordingly.
·Document patient’s daily participation and progress on progress note in an accurate and timely fashion, and obtain the co-signature of thePT.
·Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, recertifications anddischarges.
·Assist with other documentation requirements as indicated and according to stateguidelines.
·Attend facility and rehab meetings when indicated bySupervisor.
·Act as a rehab delegate to the interdisciplinaryteam.
·Participate in scheduling of patients asindicated.
·Complete billing and bill patients ethically and accurately for physical therapy servicesrendered.
·Cover other therapists’ patient caseload during absence asnecessary.
·Supervise junior PTA staff members or students asneeded.
·Maintain professional relationship with co-workers, facility staff, patients and patientfamilies.
·Provide in-service education regarding patient care or physical therapy services to rehab staff, facility staff, hospitals and/or community asneeded.
·Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and project a professional image at alltimes.
·Adhere to productivityrequirements.
·Be available to travel to facilities within reasonable distance when requested by Bedrock Care
Qualifications
1.Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associates degree in Physical Therapy that is recognized by theAPTA.
2.Holds current license and/or registration in the state (asapplicable)
