Bedrock Care is Hiring an Assistant Nursing Home Administrator (Assistant Administrator) Near Philadelphia, PA

The Assistant Nursing Home Administrator (Assistant Administrator) assists the Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) in the operation of the facility.The Assistant Administrator assumes responsibility in the absence of the NHA and at other times, as may be delegated.The Assistant Administrator may supervise, direct, and coordinate functions of one or more departments to assure that the highest degree of quality care is consistently provided to the residents.

The Shift would be starting from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm. 

Education/Training/Work Experience:

·Bachelors degree in business administration, computer science or related desired. Equivalent combination of education and experience.

·Certificate/Licenses: Current active license as Nursing Home Administrator in state of employment, or progression toward that goal.

·Work Experience: Successful completion of 12 week internship program approved by the State and one year administrative experience in long term care facility.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

·Current knowledge of state and federal laws governing the operation of nursing facilities and knowledge of licensing and payment programs, general business practices, nursing practice, psychology of resident care, personal care and social services, therapeutic and supportive long term care and services, and environmental health and safety relevant to nursing facility operations.

·Practical training in daily nursing facility operations, departmental organization and management, community resources and interrelationships.

·Knowledge of state personnel licensing and registration requirements.

·Knowledge of human resource principles, labor laws and union contracts, where applicable, to manage personnel functions and to supervise Department Heads in personnel matters.

·Able to apply standards of professional practice to operations of nursing facility and to establish criteria to assure that care provided meets established standards of quality.

·Demonstrated competency in financial management, budgeting, and allocation of resources.

·Able to develop and implement administrative policies and procedures that reflect the facility philosophy and mission in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.

·Able to provide leadership to Director of Nursing, Medical Director, Department Heads and Consultants.

·Able to formulate operational strategies and to achieve facility objectives within planned budgets and time frames.

·Sufficient interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents, family members, surrogates, legal representatives to respond to concerns, promptly resolve grievances and solve problems.

·Demonstrated competency in the protection and promotion of Resident Rights.

·Able to communicate effectively with staff members, other professional staff, consultants and residents in interdisciplinary care setting and to government agencies. Carries out all duties in accordance with the facility mission and philosophy.

Freedom from illegal use of drugs, and freedom from use and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.Persons who have been found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting are ineligible for employment in this position.
