Beaufort County is Hiring a Transportation Planner Near Beaufort, SC

TRANSPORTATION PLANNER (Engineering):Performs a variety of professional duties requiring a comprehensive expertise in all facets of transportation, master planning, design principals, and practices in an assigned governmental area such as Traffic Operations or Transportation Engineering. Assists with coordination and implementation of capital improvement projects and transportation projects and programs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • · Graduate of an accredited college or university with specialization in Transportation Planning or Design.
  • · Two (2) years of responsible related experience. A Master’s degree may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
  • · American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) membership is desired, but not required.
  • · Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

Salary: $60,870 to $77,946 / DOQ

Position Open Until July 29, 2022

All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment. Employment is contingent upon clearing both the drug screening and background investigation.
