BDS Tire Recycling, Inc. based in Fairfield, Maine has an immediate opportunity for a Controller. BDS is a leading tire recycling company serving the Northeast, collecting and recycling tires through a new state of the art, fully automated tire recycling facility that came online in January of 2022.

The Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial condition of the business by tracking, analyzing and reporting financial results, preparing financial projections, and implementing corrective actions as needed; works to maximize financial performance by working closely with the Owner. The Controller also oversees Human Resources, Information Technology (working with an outside vendor), and the Business Office (with three full time staff members), and manages special projects.

We are seeking applicants with the following qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a closely related field (or the equivalent in education and closely related work experience at a professional level), and at least seven years of progressively-responsible financial management experience in a for-profit environment; knowledge and expertise in accounting regulations, GAAP and accounting principles, as well as Human Resource regulations; advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks, and excellent verbal and written communications skills are also required.
