BCI Acrylic is Hiring a Continuous Improvement Manager Near Libertyville, IL

Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000 Bonus based on KPI's

CHICAGOLAND CANDIDATES ONLY - No Sponsorship - No Relocation

This position is responsible for assessing, monitoring, and enhancing business performance for our organization. In this role, you will analyze current practices and develop business process improvements as well as implement changes in workflows, structures, and teams to ensure continuous company performance. To ensure success as a Continuous Improvement Manager, you should be a skilled communicator and be adept at business analysis and project implementation. An exceptional continuous improvement manager will understand the latest management methodologies and embody top leadership principles and styles in their management duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and analyze manufacturing processes that absorbs resources but creates minimal value. Study operations methods to improve workflow.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present information on improvement opportunities including each project’s financial impact and savings. Works with management, customers, suppliers, and others to identify and facilitate key projects that will improve quality, reduce costs, improve cycle time, and provide optimum benefits to customers and business through waste reduction.
  • Identify and map value streams. Recommend and specify value-creating actions in the best sequence to reduce non-value-added practices. Provide feedback on efforts to convert non-value-added actions into value.
  • Drive improvement initiatives that result in better material flow, reduced rework, and improved metrics to meet division goals and objectives.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a ‘best in class’ continuous improvement strategy.
  • Manage project activities including communication, project timeline, meeting facilitation, data gathering, data processing, utilizing lean tools and solution implementation and follow up. Prepare reports and updates to management on continuous improvement projects, results, and processes. Actively participate in and perform tasks as outlined in the lean events. Work across division functions to facilitate project completion.
  • Identify trends and process variations as part of establishing a continuous improvement monitoring system.
  • Maintain lean practices and continuous improvement to reduce effort, time, space, cost, and mistakes.
  • Support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within business processes and identification of better ways of working

Education and/or Experience

· Minimum accredited Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, preferably Black Belt

· Minimum 5-7 years proven continuous improvement analytical experience from a similar role, including project management and business analysis

· Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment

· A bachelor's degree in business administration, process management, or operations.

· A graduate degree in business or MBA would be beneficial.

· A sharp eye for identifying weak points in processes and organizational structures.

· A strategic and analytical mindset.

· An excellent communicator with top-notch presentation skills.

· A thorough understanding of the latest process enhancement strategies.

· Dynamic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

· Leadership and mentoring skills.

· Confidence in your abilities to lead organizational change.

The employee will be sitting at a desk 50% of the time. Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee works in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is consistent with normal office noise levels.
