Product Management at BCGDV

Our product manager managers have the mindset to build. They are organizational masterminds who excel in managing procedures and deadlines every step of the way. Working in collaboration with design and engineering teams, they drive a lean and agile development process, ensuring the seamless delivery of a product vision that fits the needs of our corporate partners.

Program Overview

We are looking for students currently enrolled in an MBA program (or a product-adjacent Master’s Program such as HCI or Computer Science) at an accredited university, graduating in Spring 2023, Winter 2023, or Spring 2024. The 10-week internship program will allow you to gain experience in product management, working alongside leading product innovators. Our product managers innovate, build and scale opportunities, providing you with a unique chance to gain expertise across all stages of the product development lifecycle.

In this role you will:

  • Work in collaboration with other product managers to define, build and scale digital solutions
  • Get access to industry best practices and learn our unique product development methodology
  • Grow professional network across industries including healthcare, financial services, etc. 
  • Act as the voice of the customer in the definition of innovative digital solutions
  • Work with strategic design to gain an understanding of user personas, pain points and journeys
  • Provide insights into product, technology and market trends
  • Assist in the development of feature lists, user stories, and roadmaps
  • Gather and manage product feedback through surveys, concept testing, analytics tools, and A/B testing
  • Create and synthesize slides in preparation for client meetings
  • Attend and take notes at client and internal meetings
  • Monitor and report on venture team health and product velocity KPIs
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to scope, design, concept test and help drive innovative solutions and features
  • Assist in the development of business cases and operating plans
  • Assist in the development of materials to communicate progress to partners and clients

You should have:

  • A demonstrated and focused desire to build products and services that customers will love
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) as well as storytelling skills
  • The capacity for self-motivation, independent initiative and creative problem-solving
  • The ability to manage time and schedules to meet deadlines
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually demanding and service-oriented environment
  • The ability to interact with clients and key stakeholders across various business units
  • The ability to work well in a collaborative and team based environment
  • Ability to handle ambiguity

Additional desired competencies:

  • Experience in a high-pressure start-up environment or a founder with exposure to collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Involvement with a consulting firm
  • The ability to conduct user and experience research
  • Proactive approach to social impact and going above & beyond in your community
  • Built and launched a mobile app, digital product, or startup with a team of peers
  • Member of a networking community around a particular topic
  • Won an award for a project, product, or idea
