BBSS is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to assist in all aspects of material requisition for company including placing the orders with suppliers, tracking the orders, recording the purchase orders, obtaining vendor quotes, receiving the merchandise and return processing. Essential Job Functions:Enter select vendor purchase orders into MAS.Obtain all necessary POD’S and packing slips of received/delivered goods (not delivered to Norcross warehouse) and match up to the appropriate PO.Enter received goods into system for WILL CALL pick-ups, Direct Ships, and post the “Receipt of Goods” Journal at the end of the day.Provide and record PO’#’s to assigned vendor and job#, and log into PO Log spreadsheet.Request and process RMA#’s from vendors, and manufacturers. Generate RMA# in the system and log all information into EXCEL spreadsheet. Track returns from inception, to receipt of vendor credit memo, and update spreadsheet accordingly.Obtain $ quotes from vendorsWork closely with A/P in resolving invoice issues that involve, but are not limited to, price discrepancies, quantity issues, and any other “obstacles” that would prevent the processing and posting of an invoice.Filing, and maintenance of the purchase orders drawers.Open and stamp incoming mail in the absence of the A/P Dept.Back –up phone coverage.Back-up warehouse coverage for incoming deliveriesSubmit monthly email for military posts billing dollar totalsCandidate Requirements: Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization.Clear written and verbal communications.Detailed orientedGood with basic mathProficiency in Word, Excel and OutlookGood time management skillsWork well in a team environmentComplete knowledge of all related skill area machines and equipment
