BBNCALLJOBSROLLUP is Hiring a Graphic Designer Near Washington, DC

SpecPro Management Services, LLC (SMS) seeks a Graphic Designer to support the Office of Public Affairs, Bureau for Legislative and Affairs (LPA) at USAID. As a graphic designer for tLPA, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the Agency’s corporate look and feel, while providing graphic design services, design direction, and feedback to the entire staff at headquarters and at the Missions (i.e. field offices). You will manage the close relationship with the USAID in-house designers, print shop staff, and the design and print shop vendors. You will also act as an Agency’s branding champion to provide design guidance upon request from the field communications team, different contract teams working with our partners, and the bureau communications teams. Responsibilities Provide design direction and graphic design support and feedback on Agency and interagency priority projects and campaigns and events. Support the USAID Brand Champions, field communications team, and the Missions. Ensure all design elements and templates work within the approved supported browser types and screen settings while complying with Section 508 Compliance. Ensure consistent USAID look and feel and branding identity across multiple platforms and media. Design content graphics and layout, including electronic newsletters, pictograms, campaign graphics, storytelling platforms, icons, fact sheets, and announcements. Post content upon request that could include professional quality text, photos and/or online videos using industry best practices. Perform quality control checks of all content updates ensuring it is Section 508 compliant, well-written, and grammatically correct. Create all design elements and templates so they are mobile responsive for the internal and external web presences. Establish processes and solutions that will provide the framework for continuous content migration and subsequent management within the vendor’s solution. Partner with creative resources in-house and print shop staff to leverage expertise including the design vendors and print shop vendors. Ensure all content is strategically aligned with the Agency branding guidelines. Design and produce interactive web graphics. Collaborate with USAID.gov project team on functional designs that include digital goals and metrics. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Minimum of 4 years of graphic design experience and a bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent field. Extensive experience with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, specifically with mockups, we design and multimedia presentations. Strong understanding of USAID branding requirements and ability to assess and advise on branding and marking from a design perspective. Strong creative portfolio demonstrating good use of typography, grid-based design, white space, and color theory. Strong communication skills to provide written and verbal guidance and training on graphic design principles to non-designers. Adaptive design eye and skill. Excellent communications and customer service skills. The ability to obtain a Facility Access Clearance (FAC/HSPD-12) is required. This position is telework eligible.
