POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Operations promotes to facilitate Bayless's model of whole person integrated care. The Director creates an environment that supports high team and patient engagement. Continuous monitoring and revision of workflows and processes boosts the performance of the clinical team. This includes ensuring that high-quality care is delivered in the most financially efficient way. The Director of Operations makes ongoing efforts to cultivate a supportive and innovative work environment through feedback, training, goal setting, and special projects. It ensures smooth deliver of patient-centered care from Primary Care, Psychiatry, and Therapy in both the in person and virtual settings. This collaboration drives a new and exceptional patient experience to improve physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. This position is responsible for strategic planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the delivery of patient care, ensuring timely access to care for patients, overall project management, strategic issue resolution, performance improvement, and achievement of clinical service goals.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
• Strategic Planning: manage day-to-day operations of the clinics ensure appropriate workforce is scheduled and to meet operational capacities for service levels, productivity, and patient experience
• Workflow Management: establish protocols for standardization and training of best practice to ensure efficiency and patient safety
• Staffing: Recruit and retain highly qualified staff
• Process improvement: Identify targets for improvement and affect change, completing PDSA cycles, process redesign, change management, ongoing monitoring for success
• Quality metrics: Regular monitoring and improvement of value-based quality metrics including HEDIS measures, quality metrics, disease management targets, hospitalizations, patient visits, unengaged patient report, and HCC capture
• Experience management so that patient and staff have a consistently outstanding experience
• Uses a systematic approach to identify clinic needs and opportunities, perform data analysis, and develops actionable solutions to improve quality outcomes
• Assist clinics with analyzing and interpreting data to quickly identify problems, patterns, and high-risk activities
• Support development, deployment and monitoring of State mandated performance improvement projects and other specific projects based on needs
• Oversee efforts for recruitment, development, and performance evaluation of employees
• Resolve any medical-administrative problems and keep lines of communication open with staff to ensure high employee morale and a professional, healthful clinic atmosphere
• Provides exceptional leadership and promotes teamwork and collaboration. Creates an environment that supports high employee and physician engagement
• Maintains visible positive regular presence in all clinics and productive relationships with physicians, staff, and patients.
• Stays up to date on industry trends and acts as a subject matter expert on operational, billing, and financial management issues
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Certification, and Experience Requirements
• must be a Registered Nurse or have a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration or related field of study is required.
• Experience leading teams over 20 staff in a high-growth, high-volume Company in a healthcare setting preferred
• 3 years’ experience managing and leading teams to driver personal and professional growth
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work within an interdisciplinary team
• Exceptional communication skill with the ability to engage all team members in collaboration
• LEAN, Six Sigma, or other quality improvement experience
• Demonstrated success in process improvement, identifying targets for improvement, completing PDSA cycles, process redesign, change management, ongoing monitoring for success
• Experience with monitoring and improvement of value-based quality metrics including HEDIS measures, quality metrics, disease management targets, hospitalizations, patient visits, unengaged patient reports, and HCC capture
• Possess a data driven approach to management
• Ability to effectively manage upward
• Comfort with managing ambiguity in a rapidly changing environment
• Ability to manage conflict
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in an Electronic Health Record, Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Powerpoint
