Bay Medical Management LLC is a medical services organization (MSO) headquartered in Walnut Creek, CA. The organization provides administrative and management services to Bay Imaging Consultants Medical Group (BIC) who is the premier radiology group in Northern California. 

SUMMARY

The Staff Accountant II performs professional accounting functions requiring thorough knowledge of general accounting methods and the application of established accounting standards. This is a regular full-time, exempt level position, reporting to the Accounting Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Prepares monthly financial statements for assigned entities, including review of sub-ledgers, preparation and posting of journal entries.

· Prepares bank account and balance sheet account reconciliations.

· Performs variance analysis of financial statements and prepares monthly management reports including footnotes to financial statements.

· Maintains fixed assets on the FAS system for assigned entities and prepares property tax returns annually.

· Prepares quarterly distributions for assigned entities.

· Provides input to the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.

· Prepares requested documents for outside accounting firms in order to facilitate the year-end close, audit, reviews and tax returns.

· Recommends modifications of existing procedures to provide better financial controls. 

· Special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Accounting or related field is required.

· At least 5 years general accounting experience up to and including preparation of financial statements and analysis is required. 

· Proficiency in Excel is required. 

· Experience with Sage 100 software would be an asset but is not required. Knowledge of Access 2003 a plus.

· Partnership experience is an asset but not required. 

· Detail oriented.
