Description

We are seeking a skilled Accounting Manager to join our growing organization to play a key role in helping the Company make business decisions and to inform our various stakeholders of the financial position of the Company. This role will collaborate closely with the business and the broader Finance team in the preparation of timely and accurate monthly financials and will be responsible for providing background and analysis on the financials, assist in audits, and in the implementation and development of key processes and financial systems. The Accounting Manager will also play a crucial role in participating and leading the Finance team through significant process improvements to streamline various Finance operations and automations.

Requirements

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Manage the monthly/quarterly close process and review/prepare the monthly flux analysis for balance sheet and income statement ensuring that all results are properly posted and fully analyzed in a timely manner and reported to executive management per defined timelines
• Ownership and management of policies and processes for areas impacting financial reporting and related processes. Establish backup for critical functions
• Manage the accounting and finance activities for multiple entities including Budgets, Accounting activities, close and financial reporting
• Responsible for production and distribution of multiple entity financial statements to senior management and investors
• Direct and oversee accounting operations, including, but not limited to, all general ledger responsibilities, disbursements and accounts payables, fixed assets, and other functions
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
• Make recommendations for changes as needed and ensure that company policies and procedures are established and followed
• Prepare detailed journal entries and account analyses. Assist with compilation of information for preparation of tax returns
• Perform routine account reconciliations in a standardized format and maintain related support files and audit purposes
• Collaborate with key business stakeholders and the Finance team in the development and refinement of the various close-related process
• Perform key analytical review procedures such as monthly flux analysis and budget vs actuals vs fcst
• Building of and/or modification of existing schedules for the tracking of fixed assets, prepaids and other accounts for multiple entities to support various analysis and audits
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures, ensure they are in accordance with GAAP and adhered to in practice
• Communicate with various business partners to refine existing policies and implement new policies

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Accounting ERP system experience, preferably in NetSuite or similar. Experience using Bill.com, Concur or expense reporting systems or similar
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with flexibility to adapt and adjust on an ad hoc basis
• Strong hands-on knowledge of GAAP and analytical skills
• Proficiency with financial statement analysis, budget, and projection
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to details
• Identify and automate processes to eliminate waste, repetitive tasks, improve efficiency
• Must be a team player with a “can do” and “positive” attitude; must be self-directed and a strong team member
• Superior staff management and development skills. Must be able to multi-task and manage priorities for self and staff in an ever-changing environment
• Self-starter capable of finding solutions with minimal supervision but must also be a team player with a collaborative approach; Strong inter-personal, written, and oral communication skills
• Possess excellent computer skills, including experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Eight or more years of finance and accounting experience in a fast-paced, results-oriented and hands-on medium sized company with 3 years in a managerial role; CPA is a plus
• Experience establishing accounting processes and controls
• Candidate must be able to submit verification of his/her legal right to work in the United States, without company sponsorship.
