Basin is Hiring a Desktop Support Technician Near Jefferson, WI

Assist end users with technical support and understanding of computers, devices, applications, and related technologies. Assist their coworkers in finding solutions to technical and efficiency based problems
related to all forms of business technology.

The technician carries out support activities through preparation, damage mitigation, information gathering, issue reproduction, corrective maintenance, root cause determination, repair, testing, retrospection, and preventative measures to ensure effective, long-term resolutions.

Work Schedule: May be flexible.

Pay will be commensurate with experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage assigned activities and service tickets utilizing approved IT Helpdesk issue tracking and resolution system.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency in resolving all safety, security, and IT related issues.
  • Perform workstation trouble shooting, repair, maintenance, and deployment.
  • Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot issues related to VOIP & Mobile devices.
  • Maintain detailed and up to date hardware/software inventory and maintenance records utilizing required corporate ERP management systems.
  • Perform IT equipment and supplies requisitioning in coordination with senior staff.
  • Provide basic networking support and maintenance for LAN, wireless, and mobile device connectivity.
  • Provide basic ERP, Exchange, Office 365, and Outlook user support, including cloud based solution support of all authorized applications.
  • Manage desktop security deployment and maintenance, including client firewalls, antivirus, and security patch management.
  • Report any issues that impact successful completion of tasks or assigned projects quickly with all information required to assess the issue.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
An Associate’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related specialty, or a
minimum of two years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience. CompTIA A , CompTIA Network , MCITP:

Enterprise Desktop Support Technician 7 or equivalent certifications and proficiencies. Demonstrable understanding of industry standard troubleshooting methods (UTP, A Troubleshooting). Issue tracking and reporting experience using support tools such as ServiceDesk, Jira, Asana, or equivalent systems.
