Bascom Maple Farms Inc is Hiring a Customer Service Specialist Near Brattleboro, VT

Bascom Maple Farms is looking for a Customer Service Specialist to work with our sales team. Our ideal candidate is someone who is good with data entry, communicating via e-mail and phone, and enjoys a busy atmosphere.

Major Responsibilities/Activities

  • Enter sales orders and provide order confirmations to customers as requested.
  • Contact customers to communicate information regarding product availability and pricing.
  • Update customer contact information on account and system profiles.
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure orders are produced and shipped correctly.
  • Assist sales staff with resolving order issues, pricing discrepancies, and promotional issues.
  • Provide phone coverage and additional customer service support.
  • Assemble sales materials for product promotions and trade shows.
  • Manage inventory of all sales and marketing materials.
  • Additional data entry tasks as needed.
  • Other tasks as requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years’ customer service experience, food industry preferred
  • Strong computer skills-Typing/data entry, Microsoft Office, CRM, EDI systems
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills 

Essential Physical & Mental Functions

Employees in this position must be a team player and able to work with minimal supervision. While performing the duties of this position, the employee must be able to interact professionally with vendors, employees, and customers. The Customer Service Specialist must be able to multitask and perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment, often in high stress situations.

This position is performed primarily in an office setting. The Customer Service Specialist must be able to hear well in person and on the phone and speak clearly to communicate with visitors and customers. The employee must be able to type and perform fine motor skill tasks frequently throughout their shift and may perform minimal lifting tasks.
