The Part-Time Custodian is responsible for the general cleaning of the Nature Center facility and its support systems. This is an at-will position.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or GED. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Previous custodial experience preferred. Must be at least 18 years old.

While performing the duties of this job, bending and/or, kneeling for long periods of time while cleaning and reaching items off floor and high shelves is required. Climbing ladders and reaching to perform work, such as changing light bulbs or painting. Push equipment up to 100 pounds for sustained periods of time, as when buffing floors. Repeated hand and arm movements for extended periods of time. Lifting and moving with loads for long periods of time, as when stocking store rooms. Walking and bending for sustained periods of time, as when working on pumps and motors. Reading hand written information and writing legibly. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but may be exposed to noise distractions from employees or equipment operation in adjacent work areas. Employee’s general work area is indoors in a smoke-free environment with controlled temperature and indoor lighting. Employee may be required to work during various weather conditions, including cold and hot temperatures.
