Perform field walk down assessments of jobsites to facilitate AutoCad layouts of jobs required to execute heavy lift / transport projects.
Obtain working knowledge of Barnhart heavy lift, specialty rigging, and transport equipment t to provide solutions to customer needs.
Perform calculations and detailed drawings required to support and explain how the project will be executed.
Function as a field technical liaison for critical lifts - includes risk management and safety evaluations of projects.
Assist Barnhart Sales Department in performing field walk down assessments of jobsites to determine heavy lift, specialty rigging, and transport equipment required to execute specific scope of work.
Approximately 10% travel required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited program with a minimum of 3.0 GPA.
5 years’ experience of Civil/Structural or Mechanical Projects.
Proficient with AutoCAD
Proficient with RISA-3D
Proficient with FEA
Experience with MS Excel
Experience with MS Word
Familiar with AISC (ASD) Steel Construction Manual.
Familiar with AWS - Structural Welding Codes.
Strong management and communication skills with a commitment to meeting schedules and goals.
Ability to lead, develop and manage to engineers.
Analytical, organized and detail oriented.
Experience with rigging equipment.
Experience with cranes and heavy lift equipment.
Experience with transport equipment (THP and SPMT)
