Nature of Work
Overall responsibility for project management. Manage a staff, contract documents,subcontractor performance, vendor compliance, budgets, costs, safety,profitability, and statutory and legal compliance. Maintain constructive relationships andcommunicate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, inspectors, communityofficials and company staff.
EssentialDuties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-construction reviews including estimate review and contract documents.
  • Develop purchasing strategies, project flow charts and schedules.
  • Ensure subcontractors meet expectations of contract documents.
  • Direct and supervise the purchase of major equipment.
  • Establish and coordinate overall project schedule.
  • Ensure labor, material, subcontractors, and equipment cost control for all projects.
  • Ensure accurate completion and updating of all required project reports.
  • Maintain client relationships and assist in development of new business.
  • Ensure projects are completed per contract documents and schedule.
  • Assume responsibility for providing a safe work environment, as well as complying with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Exercise initiative or, as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization.

SupervisoryResponsibilities
Directly supervises four or more employees and carries out supervisoryresponsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicablelaws.

Education
A minimum of aBachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university. Master’s degreepreferred.
Experience
Ten years or more related workexperience required.
Scope
Responsible for the work of othersdirectly or through subordinates; may supervise management-level positions;responsible for development of budgets and/or revenue projections and accountablefor monitoring results; accountable for overall results of division/department.
Guidelines
Uses initiative and resourcefulness indeviating from traditional methods, criteria, or procedures. Uses constructivethinking based on theoretical disciplines or body of knowledge and practice toanalyze, interpret and evaluate problem situations conflicts or operationsproblems. May use judgment and ingenuity in interpreting the intent ofguidelines that so exist and in developing applications to specific areas.
PhysicalDemands
Physical demandsfor this position are heavy. Physicalexertion such as long periods of standing; lifting of heavy items (50-75pounds), walking over rough, uneven or rocky surfaces; recurring bending,crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, climbing or similar activities. Thework may require specific but common physical characteristics and abilitiessuch as above-average agility and dexterity.
WorkEnvironment
Standard project site environment thatmay include machinery, parts and chemicals. May require protective gear.
