Do you want to work with a global leader in RFID?Are you someone who enjoys working in a small team and learn different tasks?If so, you should be at Barcodes!We are seeking an Assembly tech for a Barcodes Group Company (SLS). SLS is the global leader in RFID enabled dock door solutions. Our efficiency and scalability in manufacturing and implementation of our solutions are unmatched.

Hours: 8 am to 5 pm. Monday to Friday.

Location: 1100 Durant Drive, Howell, MI 48843

At Barcodes, an Assembly Technician performs a variety of sub-assembly and/or assembly operations of basic complexity.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
  • Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies
  • Assist in the building of prototypes and/or other basic assembly projects outside of normal production as needed
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Inspect all work and ensure it meets requirements prior to passing it on to the next operation
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms

What You'll Need:

  • High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development required
  •  Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Must be able to safely use small hand and power tools
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings and Bills of Material
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
