Position Summary: 

The Quality Inspector II work with little supervision/mentoring and is proficient at all manual inspections with the manual Coordinate-Measuring Machining (CMM) and operating prior programed Digital Computer Controlled (DCC) CMM. Inspects components, assemblies, and related paperwork to ensure compliance with specifications. Ensures that no non-conforming or rejected product gets shipped to the end user or customer. Focused on providing the highest quality products to customers.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Gather documents, prepare the workstation and ensure that changes have been incorporated prior inspection.

Evaluate parts to ensure that they meet specified requirements per the inspection plans.

Collaborate with all departments to ensure that information and data transfers effectively to meet customer needs and organization objectives.

Continuously improve procedures, processes and methods to ensure zero escapes on manual inspections and the CMM.

Requirements

To qualify for this position, an individual must possess the knowledge, training, experience and abilities required:

Education and Training: 

High School diploma or equivalent 

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience in quality inspection function in complex custom

manufacturing environment.

GD&T experience with a variety of machining processes.

Knowledge of programming with PC-DMIS and CMM Manager.

Others:

Must be willing to work overtime as required.

Travel up to 5% of working time.

Desired Job Qualification:

Associates degree or completion of an apprenticeship program in a related field is desired.

Experience in an ISO9000/ASO9100 organization.

Hiring Salary Range: $27/hr. - $36/hr.

Note: The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is eligible for bonus.
