Scope of Job:
Support the Trust Department by providing quality client service through account administration functions.
Primary Duties:
Assist Trust Officer(s) and Trust personnel with all facets of the administration and management of accounts, research, analysis, and completion of special projects.
Communicate with Trust Officer(s) and Trust personnel, clients, attorneys, accountants, and colleagues.
Utilize the Maui system in its fullest capacity.
Utilize Connections to record client prospecting, retention and/or expansion efforts.
Secondary Duties:
Participate on various committees and project teams as deemed appropriate by management.
Attend and actively participate in organizational training and programs.
Willing to expand Investment Managemnet, Trust Administration, Estate Administration, Retirement Planning, and Estate Planning knowledge through continuing education.
Adhere to all applicable Policies and Procedures of the BankWest organization.
Adhere to all applicable regulatory requirements within the industry.
Community involvement is strongly encouraged.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education:
A Bachelors' degree preferably in finance, accounting, compliance, pre-law, business or other field of study that is applicable to investment management, trust and/or estate planning. Work experience in a related field can be substituted for the degree requirement.
Experience:
2 years' experience in related field.
Knowledge and Special Skills:
Ability to work independently upon further education and/or training as needed.
Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with external and/or internal clients, attorneys, accountants, community members and/or colleagues.
Must have strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to organize and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently and accurately while delivering quality external and/or internal client services.
Ability to work under pressure, multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines.
Must have a basic to intermediate level of understanding and knowledge of technology.
Ability to learn and understand new software programs, as well as implementing the tools.
Knowledge or ability to learn regulatory requirements pertinent to performance of specified duties and application within the investment management and trust industry.
Adhere to Federal Privacy Standards in addition to following BankWest requirements for electronic communication and Social Engineering standards.
