Responsible for designing and developing complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Ensures that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Ensures solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Possess strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry, and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns. At this level, specializations start to form in either Architecture, Test Engineering or DevOp. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements. Participates and guides team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas. Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements. Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements. Assists team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work. Designs/develops/modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained. Designs/develops/maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance). Sets up and develops a continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline. Automates manual release activities. Mentors other Software Engineers and coaches team on CI-CD practices and automating tool stack. Individual contributor.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing and developing complex requirements to accomplish business goals.

• Possess strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry, and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns.
• Works with Architect, Engineering, Development, and Project Management, Testing & Support teams to build solutions and help application support
• Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
• Assists team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.
• Designs/develops/modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained.
• Knowledge of Security, Logging, Auditing, Policy Management and Performance Monitoring and KPI for end-to-end process execution
• Maintains close alignment with management to understand the firm and GTST goals and requirements

Required Skills:

• 3-7 years relevant technology experience in designing, developing, testing and maintenance, preferably in a development organization
• Development experience in UNIX and LINUX environments and development toolsets, Shell, Bash, Perl, Python programming
• Understanding of Synchronous / Asynchronous communication patterns using MQ, NDM and problem-solving abilities with respect to Message Sequencing, Correlation, and Queuing
• Banking domain knowledge, WIRES processing across channels including WIRE ROOM and Online based payments
• Experience with WIRES / Cross Border Payments / SWIFT domain payments, working with multiple technology delivery teams while working with business, operations
• Development experience following Agile
• History of success in delivering technology change, project execution and delivery
• Deep knowledge of Technology platforms, applications, processes, and procedures
• Proven track record of working with high performing teams
• Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate, influence, drive impact and report on evidence-based value

Desired Skills:

• Experience of midrange-based systems J2EE, JBOSS, Oracle, APIs, webservices-Nice to have
• Experience with Autosys, Prognosis, UPF preferred
• Experience with WIRES large platforms management MTS, UPF payments system-Nice to have
