Job Description:

Responsible for moderately complex financial activities involving the implementation of strategic plans, profitability analysis, forecasting and financial reporting for a line of business or staff area. Works on activities and projects with others with the business unit. May lead small projects and coordinate resources. In some cases, will act as team leader.

May be an individual contributor OR direct the day-to-day activities and processes of a unit, including managing service level agreements, risk mitigation, fluctuations in volume and staffing.

The Financial Analyst responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Leads the implementation of new and revised systems, procedures and methods that apply to and improve the prospective units function(s)
• Monitors associate productivity and quality and helps ensure sufficient development and training of associates
• Develops, implements, and maintains policies and procedures which support short-and long-term business plans and minimizes losses associated with inadequate information systems, operational problems, breach of internal controls, and fraud.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
• Must have strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to interface cross functionally with senior leadership.
• Strong planning skills, as well as the ability to understand macro management and cross-functional organization.
• Works under the direction of the Unit Leader on strategies and processes.

Required Skills:

•  3 years experience with mortgage banking environment
• Ability to independently manage a high degree of responsibility
• Strong Analytical Skills
• Proficient in Excel (Pivot tables, formulas, VLookUp, formatting, etc)
• Time management skills and ability to work well under tight deadlines
• Strong organizational, oral & written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with internal & external business partners
• Self motivated with strong attention to detail
• Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills with proven ability to work effectively in a variety of situations

Desired Skills:

• Background in Investor Reporting
• Working knowledge of MSP or SBO
• Candidate should exhibit strong personal drive, individual initiative, a sense of urgency, and responsiveness
