Job Description:

The Data Support Manager is part of a small team in the Global Risk Management (GRM) Data Management Office (DMO) supporting the Risk Data Management Executive (DME) and GRM’s data accountabilities. The Data Support Manager will be aligned and partner with Risk teams (e.g. Market Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk) to support, influence, define, execute and report on the Risk area and GRM’s data management strategy. The role is also responsible for executing enterprise (e.g. EDSG, EDA) and regulatory mandates, provide project management support, oversight, reporting and manage issues. The role provides an opportunity for a candidate to obtain an in depth understanding of a Risk areas people, processes, data, technology and control environment while gaining knowledge of GRM and enterprise wide data activities and strategy

Role Responsibilities:
- Support DME accountabilities including but not limited to: Data and Records Management adherence, oversight and escalation, FRY14 and RDA attestations, GRM Leadership team updates, strengthening GRM data support roles, supporting EDSG, EDA enterprise efforts and Audit, Compliance and regulatory mandates.
- Develop an in depth understanding of Risk’s current state data environment, data quality, controls, Authorized Data Set (ADS) adoption, issues, risks, projects and data activities.
- Support, influence and collaborate with Risk teams to define individual data strategies, plans and activities that support the definition and execution of the GRM data strategy. Become a trusted advisor to the Risk data teams.
- Influence and collaborate with Risk data teams to develop metrics and reporting (ADS adoption, Data Quality, Issue Management, Adherence) to monitor and measure multi-year data management efforts.
- Expand and improve data management metrics and reporting to allow the CRO, Risk Executives and DME to prioritize and fund data activities.
- Support the improvement of data process, data quality controls and ADS adoption.
- Support the tracking, escalation, reporting and resolution of data incidents / issues.
- Collaborate, influence and challenge Risk areas and Enterprise data teams to define the data management standards, activities and strategy.
- Drive best practices across GRM, Finance and Treasury.
- Support BAU data activities and lead data projects.
- Conducting and leading GRM DMO meetings and representing GRM DMO in various data management forums.

Requirements:

Business -

- 5-7 years of Risk Management (e.g. Market Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk) and/or Data Management experience.
- 5-7 years program management experience working on enterprise (e.g. BCBS239, Basel, CCAR), Risk (e.g. Risk Appetite, Forecasting, AML, CECL) or Data (e.g. EDSG, EDA) programs.
- 5-7 data analysis and reporting experience.
- 3-5 years developing program management status reporting (e.g. data adherence, ads development) and operational metrics (e.g. issues, data quality, process performance, ADS adoption).
- 3-5 years defining, developing and implementing business processes.
Technical:
- Expert level using MS office including Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint
- At least 2 year experience with query/program languages (SQL, Toad, Python, SAS) and managing / linking large datasets.
- At least 2 year experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, MicroStrategy). BI tool development a plus.
- Metadata tools (e.g. Collibra), data wrangling tools (e.g. Alteryx) and issue management tools (eDIM, Jira) experience a plus.
Other:

- Strong data analysis skills and ability to draw conclusions from many disparate data sources and support finding with facts.
