JobSummary

The Senior Business Analyst role reports to theAssociate Director, Business Intelligence – Account and requires a strongconcentration in both business process improvement and business intelligence.The focus of this position is to work closely with the business units to gainan in-depth understanding of the customer’s business strategy, processes,roadmap, and the context in which the business operates. The role will be keyin identifying opportunities for process optimization, designing, andimplementing solutions, and leveraging BI tools to provide actionable insights.The Senior Business Analyst role requires a combination of analyticalexpertise, project management skills, a deep understanding of BI technologies,and the ability to visualize data. This position will also begoverned by the governance established by PPM’s Enterprise Technology AssociateDirector and Director, Marketing for alignment of account team platforms withEnterprise governance and standards.

Key Responsibilities

· TheSr Business Analysts core strengths must include:

o Analytical skills – this job involvesanalyzing data and processes, as well as interpreting and visualizinginformation from customers, vendors, and key stakeholders.

o Communication skills - working closely withclients, colleagues, and customers to gather information, requiring strongverbal and written communication skills, as well as good listening skills.

o Data Visualization – proficient in usingdata visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, as well as spreadsheetsoftware and flow-chart tools.

o Problem-solvingabilities – think creatively to solve their clients’ problems, requiring strongtroubleshooting skills to find new ways to help clients and stakeholdersachieve their goals.

o Writing skills – excellent writingskills and are well able to produce presentations and visual reports on theirfindings.

o Business requirementscapture and documentation – highly effective at assessing, documenting, andvisualizing business requirements.

o Curation of Client BusinessProcess standards – develop and sustain process standards and governance within the clientenvironment.

· Effectivelymanage sequential workstreams, have strong analytical and visualization skills,be able to work under pressure and adapt to the changing needs of the client.

· Assistin project and program definition and chartering.

· Provideclient-facing business analytics reporting to account team for analysis,identifying trends, outliers, and statistically significant performance, todrive business performance.

· Understandand accurately interpret customer and user requirements, their strategies, andgoals.

· Capturedetail business workflows and connect them to create a holistic picture ofthe business.

· Identifyefficiencies and communicate these opportunities to the team.

· Assurethat the project deliverables meet quality standards.

· Subjectmatter expert for Business Intelligence platforms, which may include Office 365tools, Power BI, Smartsheet, document management repositories, projects managementplatforms and similar tools.

· Collaboratewith PPM’s Enterprise Technology Associate Director and Director,Marketing for alignment of account team platforms with Enterprise governanceand standards.

· Communicatecomplex data and business cases in ways that are compelling and easy tounderstand.

· Determine,implement, and evaluate business metrics that benefit and support objectives.

· Incollaboration with PPM Enterprise Technology, perform operational management ofkey platforms, including risk management, process improvement, planning androadmap development, contingency planning, integration with other platforms andchange management.

· Directlysupport strategic initiatives.

· Otherduties as assigned.

Job Skills & Qualifications

· Associatesdegree in business administration or statistics preferred.

· 5 years of work experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.

· Dataanalysis and creation of executive presentation experience.

· Proficientin Office 365.

· Experiencein building and maintaining Business Intelligence tools.

· Abilityto work independently and exercise good judgment.

· Abilityto manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and perform assigned tasks withtight deadlines and competing priorities.

· Self-starterwith the ability to work both independently and as a team member.

· Expertattention to detail and organization.

Physical Requirements

· Travelfor client account requirements and PPM may be required (up to 25%)

· Regularlyrequired to sit for long periods of time.
