Position Summary:

The Network Administrator will offer remote troubleshooting support to a local base of customers. Specifically associated with validating and fixing device down issues and addressing customer-specific technical questions. Responsible for documenting and organizing critical site technical information, issues, and specific needs on multiple platforms. This individual will work on a team responsible for troubleshooting issues and will be responsible for resolving incidents in a timely and efficient manner.

Role and Responsibilities

• Configure routers, wireless access points and client bridges, switches, and other IP devices as needed.
• Provide troubleshooting oversight to complex customer site issues, review, and ensure the appropriate databases and customer records are properly updated.
• Understand customer and company requirements and recommend the appropriate products & services.
• Work closely with Help Desk, Field Services, and IT Support to ensure continuity.
• Work closely with the Network Engineer team to blend software and hardware design intent with customer expectations and needs.
• Assist Project Manager and Field Technicians with projects as requested.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task.
• Flexibility and willingness to accept changing priorities as required.
• Maintain, upgrade, patch, recover, troubleshoot, and provide general support of Network Services infrastructure.Monitor availability and performance of Network Services environment.Document processes for internal policies and procedures related to Network Services infrastructure.Assess, document, and implement changes as required in conjunction with risk and security teams.
• Perform infrastructure configuration management activities and follow change management procedures for implementing any changes to the production environment.Conduct research on emerging products, services, and standards in support of Network Services and its product development efforts.Manage relationships with a mixture of external vendors and 3rd party providers.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (four-year college or university) in computer science, engineering, or a comparable technology field preferred. Direct experience may be substituted for education.
• TCP/IP Networking and Windows
• Cisco Route and Switch
• Experience in security, ASA firewalls, and network administration is required
• Computer Skills: Ability to use personal computer and software such as Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.), G-Suite, required.
• CCNA Preferred with 5 years minimum experience
